The Concept
Edosystems™ are next-gen K-12 management systems.
An Edosystem™ is a K-12 educational institution and its governmental and community agencies that provide educational opportunities (edos™), teaching and learning systems, educational relationships, and environmental conditions for the advancement of children, youth, families, and teachers from all walks of life and socioeconomic backgrounds in a specific area. It works with edologists™, specialists who study and provide edos while removing educational pollution from an edosystem™, so that children, youth, and families from all walks of life and socioeconomic backgrounds thrive. Edology™ is the study of the effects of the provision and limitations of edos in an edosystem™, as well as the educational pollutants that hinder educational and academic advancement (Cadet Watkins, 2025).
Dr. Melissa Cadet Watkins devised the edosystem™ concept, a specific edosystem™ assessment, and next-gen K-12 edosystem™ transformational tools in her book, The American Educational Challenge: Disillusioned Teachers, Disempowered Parents, and Disengaged Students.
